Chemical Control Training Seminar

SeminarThe jointly sponsored OAS/CICAD and CCLEC Training Seminar on “Chemical Control” was held at the Long Bay Beach Resort in Tortola, BVI from 5 to 9 June 2006. It was attended by sixteen (16) participants from nine countries comprising twelve (12) customs and four (4) Police Officers.


Tenth Annual Caribbean Postal Union Conference

CaribbeanThe CCLEC was represented at the tenth annual conference of the Caribbean Postal Union (CPU) which was convened at the Methodist Church Hall, Kingstown, St. Vincent & Grenadines from 12 to 16 June 2006. The Conference was divided into two parts being the Post Masters General (PMG) meeting followed by that of the Ministers. The theme of the Conference was “The New Postal Environment Reassessing and Managing the Postal Business”.

ConfrenceThe UK COT and Bermuda Law Enforcement Conference was held at the Paradise Cove Resort, Anguilla from 25 -27 April 2006. The opening ceremony was addressed by the Honourable Chief Minister Mr. Osbourne Fleming who spoke of the growing trend toward criminal activity which is now at a level hitherto unknown in the territories, and he welcomed the initiatives which are being put in place to ensure national security. The feature address was delivered by His Excellency the Governor Mr. Alan Huckle .
